E-Commerce Day continues its tour of Latin America with Guayaquil ...

Latin America?s biggest e-commerce, m-commerce, online banking and business event will take place in Ecuador on July 5th and in Uruguay on July 25th.

E-Commerce Day continues its tour of Latin America with Guayaquil and Montevideo set for July

E-Commerce Day, which takes place in Santiago, Lima, Guayaquil, Montevideo, Sao Paulo, Mexico City and Buenos Aires, ?is part of E-Lab Tour 2012, and has become the essential gathering place for the region?s major players in the digital economy. ?These events are the initiative of the Latin American Institute for Electronic Commerce, ILCE, and are held in collaboration with local organizations that promote e-commerce.

?E-Commerce Day 2012 in Guayaquil? will take place at the Hotel Hilton Colon on July 5th.? Its goal is to accelerate understanding of the online experience by getting to know the players first hand, since they make progress possible, and to introduce the local, regional and world leaders in the digital economy. ?This event, organized locally by the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce and LatinPacific, will include the participation of Jose Luis Egas, National Director of Metropolitan Touring Agencies; Agustin Palotti, Geelbe CEO; Guillermo Maldonado, Marketing Manager of Claro; Rafael Camos, Director of VTEX (Brazil); Juan Carlos Salame, President of Cuponaso.com; and Anton Chalbaud, CEO of The Fan Machine, among others.

E-Commerce Day Montevideo, co-organized by Uruguay?s Chamber of Information Technology CUTI, will take place on July 25th at the Antel Telecommunication Tower. This is the first time that E-Commerce Day will be held in Uruguay, a country that along with its online products and services, is experiencing strong growth.? This is the industry?s largest national event. ?Among the participants are the renowned industry leaders, Fernando Monteiro, CEO of Cobrebem; Alex do Nascimento, Corporate Manager of E-Commerce Brazil Postal Service (Correios); Silvina Reyes, Director of Marketing at OCA; Federico Malek, CEO Groupon South America Southern Cone; Patricia Jebsen, General Manager E-Commerce at Falabella and Federico Procaccini, Mercado Libre?s General Manager, among others.

In each country, 40 national and international experts in new online business and applied technology meet during several plenary and concurrent panel sessions, ?to exchange experiences and discuss new trends, business cases, etc. ?with invited keynote speakers.

A trade show offering resources, services and solutions on all aspects of e-commerce, e-business, online banking, mobile solutions and doing business over the Internet, is held parallel to the conference and workshops.

E-Commerce Days feature activities that create the best networking conditions for attendees to meet and build connections.? Among those activities are, ?Talk with the Leaders? roundtable discussions, ?a ?Who is Here? billboard, networking luncheons and coffee breaks, after hours and other actions that create a great business environment.

At the end of the each event E-Commerce Awards are handed out in various categories to acknowledge the contribution of people and companies to the digital economy ?of each country and region , thereby making E-Commerce Day the industry?s largest and most highly represented event in Latin America.
